Group Payroll Manager

Kinaxia Logistics are looking for a Group Payroll Manager to join the group. You will be based from our AKW Manchester site. It will be your role to lead on the processing of monthly and weekly payroll across Group Companies to ensure a consistent and efficient process is implemented, developed and adhered to. In addition to overseeing Pension Administration and Compliance to achieve a consistent approach.

As Payroll Manager your key roles and responsibilities will be:

  • Lead on the implementation and ongoing development of Cascade Payroll across the Group
  • Train the Accounts Departments on the system processes and procedures
  • Work closely with the subsidiary business units to ensure agreed payroll process and procedures are being adhered to and the reports required for accountancy purposes are fit for purpose;
  • Manage the completion of monthly and weekly payroll for some subsidiary companies of the Group;
  • Provide leadership and motivation to your team to build an effective and engaged workforce
  • Provision of weekly/monthly reports and management information to the business to provide a consistent supply of data.
  • Build, grow and maintain effective working relationships with key stake holders from each business and promote partnership working to improve operational efficiency
  • Develop pension administration and compliance processes across Group Companies to achieve a consistent approach
  • Travel to each location as and when required

Key Skills, Experience & Knowledge of the Payroll Manager

  • Both working and technical knowledge of payroll systems preferably Cascade Payroll
  • Producing both weekly and monthly payrolls
  • Pension administration and compliance
  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
  • Ability to multi task whilst maintaining attention to detail
  • Coaching and motivating to improve development of payroll team
  • Effective communication skills at all levels both written and verbal
  • Relevant payroll qualifications
  • Preferably part of the CIPP
  • Managing and developing a team of employees
  • Cascade Payroll system
  • Creating, reviewing and implementing payroll process and procedures
  • Managing and running multiple payrolls
  • Running weekly and monthly payrolls, including hourly paid employees
