Group Training and Development Manager

Kinaxia Logistics are looking for a Group Training and Development Manager to design and deliver a Group Training and Development programme that is aligned with the Group’s goals to develop, train and empower staff and create a clear and effective succession plan providing future leaders, whilst complying with regulations. You will be responsible for providing a training and development programme for up to 3,000 employees over multiple sites.

 Key Roles and responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver a Leadership Management Programme which supports the cultural change and growth of the Group
  • Responsible for the Apprenticeship Levy, ensuring it is being effectively utilised across the Group, including the recruitment process and supporting local MD’s and HR Advisors.
  • Work with the Regional Compliance Manager to develop the Kinaxia Academy by designing and delivering a non-operational training programme which meets the strategic objectives of the Group
  • Work with the local MD’s and HR Advisors on the creation of personal development plans and identification of training needs, using competency assessments and skills matrix’s to create a workforce with the relevant skill set, where potential is being recognised and effective succession plans are in place
  • Lead on the cultural change of the Group to create an environment where career paths, lifelong learning and continuous improvement is embedded into each business.
  • Manage the complexities of working with all subsidiary companies of Kinaxia Logistics each with their own individual cultures and ways of working
  • Support a management teams with employee development and succession plans
  • You will be required to travel to each location on a regular basis to build effective relationships

  • Applying the application of training and development into practice
  • Presentation skills to deliver training sessions
  • Self-confidence and problem solving to build persuasive arguments based on logic, data and the objective merits of the situation
  • Dedication to promote competency framework and values through an employee’s life cycle
  • Previous management experience
  • Coaching and mentoring to support and develop employees
  • Using competency frameworks
  • A knowledge and understanding of the following is required:
    • Transport & Warehousing industry
    • Training and development practices
    • Competency based frameworks

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
