Mark Thompson Transport are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 drivers to join their team at their site in Warrington.
You will be responsible for delivering goods to customers at various locations throughout the country whilst adhering to all legal and safety requirements.
Trampers
Monday to Friday PM starts
Night drivers
Monday – Friday
Tuesday – Saturday
Sunday - Thursday
- Knowledge and experience required:
- Hold an LGV C+E licence with an up to date CPC qualification
- Good working knowledge of EU drivers hours and regulations
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude
- Minimum 2 years class 1 driving experience in the UK
- No more than 6 points and no live major endorsements (DR10)
Job Duties:
- To complete customer deliveries and site to site deliveries using box trailers and curtain siders
- Delivering customer orders safely and efficiently
- Ensuring daily vehicle checks are completed and any defects reported
- Responsible for keeping the transport department updated of any issues
- Have a can do attitude
- Be customer focused to ensure the best service is delivered
Rates of pay / Shift patterns:
- Mon - Fri - £32,500 p.a basic – additional Saturday or Sunday will be paid at £180 per shift
- Tue - Sat - £33,540 additional overtime shift will be paid at £160 per shift
- Sun - Thur - £33,540 additional shift will be paid at £160 per shift
- Nights out expense will be paid at £26 per night out (Guaranteed £104 p.w tax free)
- £100 Per week attendance bonus paid weekly
- Weekly or Monthly pay
- Permanent contract issued on day one
