Salary: £28,000 to £30,000
Contract type: Permanent
You will be Responsible for up to 10 staff, both permanent and agency, in a 24/7 operation, in support of the major customer contract on site.
Key responsibilities in this role will include:
·Plan, manage, and co-ordinate the activities of administrative function to ensure the highest possible level of service, and the service is delivered in a professional and positive manner
·Propose and agree KPIs and metrics with the General Manager in order to set departmental and individual targets.
·Participate in the annual budget process, understand the financial objectives of the company, review monthly accounts for area of responsibility, and translate into action for the department
·Ensure departments and individuals are given feedback on performance, recognizing good performance, and actively managing poor performance.
·Responsibility for all stages of the employee lifecycle, ensuring all Employee Relation matters are dealt with effectively, actively participating in formal stages where necessary, up to and including formal hearings
·Conduct regular reviews and appraisals with direct reports to offer guidance, support, identifying areas where improvements can be made
·Ensure all staff within the administrative function are suitably trained and qualified to undertake their duties
·Review current processes and procedures, identify and recommend areas for improvement.
·Prepare reports and lead / participate in projects as defined by senior management
·Manage staffing levels effectively to ensure enough resource is available to maintain the day to day operations
·Lead on promoting training and development to improve moral, staff satisfaction and successful succession planning;
·Responsible for culture, moral, communication, behaviour, and health & safety of individuals working in the department
·Represent the department in internal meetings, intercompany meetings, and customer / external meetings
·Keep customers appraised of all operational matters and updates affecting service
·Work closely with client customer service team to ensure all inbound and outbound traffic is delivered on time in full
·To liaise with other Kinaxia companies in relation to traffic movement to client orders and goods
·To ensure all outbound orders have relevant booking in times, undertaking the arrangements where necessary
·Lead on the full utilization of the JDA WMS systems by working closely with operations, customers, and the IT department
What you need to succeed:
·Stock management software experience
·Warehouse health and safety experience
·Managing and developing a team
·Managing a budget
·Implementing new ways of working
·Bond and Customs experience
·GCSE’s at grade A-C in English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent)
·JDA Experience essential
Working hours:45 hours per week..
Annual leave entitlement: 20 days per year plus 8 bank holidays
