Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Kinaxia Logistics are looking for a Group Financial Planning & Analysis Manager. It will be your role to support the Group Finance Director in the strategic analysis of business opportunities, covering areas such as M&A, project accounting and driving the modelling and analytics around the business to increase profitability

This role is to be based from our Manchester depot, you will be required to travel to all businesses within the group.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the analysis and reporting of business performance
  • Build strong working relationships with both internal and external key stakeholders within each Business Unit
  • Act as a business partner by controlling the month-end delivery process including planning, timetables and leading communication with the regions, in addition to analysing forecast and budget data to provide each Director with a clear analysis of the costs of their functions within agreed timescales;
  • Work closely and support where necessary, each business Head of Finance and local team to identify and amend areas of improvement
  • Maximise the use of the company's business intelligence system to provide insight into the performance of the business;
  • Work closely with the Group Finance Director to deliver annual improvement targets;
  • Lead, develop and motivate direct reports and other teams to ensure they reach their full potential and subsequently contribute to the overall performance of the business and deliver a world class service;
  • Manage and review the Monthly Flash report and provide each Director with an accurate and current view of their business performance.
  • Manage the complexities of working with all subsidiary companies of Kinaxia Logistics each with their own individual cultures and ways of working
  • Travel to each location as and when required

Key Skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of financial consolidation systems
  • Operational experience in preparation of financial reporting and controls
  • Commercial and business strategy
  • Excellent excel skills and computer literacy
  • Working knowledge of Sage 200
  • Critical thinking and data analysis with ambiguous data
  • Ability to use own initiative when making appropriate assumptions
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships over multiple locations
  • Business partnering with key stakeholders
  • Previous FP & A experience required
  • University degree or internationally recognised equivalent
  • Professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA)
