Business Development Manager – Warehousing & Contract Packing

Kinaxia Logistics Group are looking for a Business Development Manager to be based in the North West. You will be developing new business opportunities within our co pack and warehousing area, enhancing brand awareness, increasing the client portfolio and increasing sales revenue. You will work in partnership with Operations and Depot Managers to identify and develop new business opportunities. You will have targets across the full portfolio of services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify new prospects & opportunities for Warehousing / Co-Pack / Value Added Service (VAS) business growth offering excellent revenue opportunity and margin growth for Kinaxia Group
  • Build a strong new business pipeline of opportunity with face to face meetings regularly
  • Secure additional business which is not already handled by Kinaxia or Group companies with the existing base and win business by building a new pipeline – new business and organic
  • Build a record of upcoming tenders for the next 3/4 years
  • Ensure added value where possible
  • Maintain a sound understanding of all services, procedure and standards offered by the Kinaxia Group
  • Agree commercials as put forward by sites and other areas of the business, presenting to the clients as and when necessary
  • Ensure we operate with clients within contract and against agreed terms
  • Develop a comprehensive database of prospects on the CRM
  • Prepare detailed presentations and quotes
  • Meet individual targets set and provide support to meet annual group targets
  • Prepare monthly reports and report as required to the board
  • Achieve a rounded understanding of the competition
  • Ensure inclusion in tenders
  • Attend networking events, exhibitions and other events as required
  • Identify new prospects, build a new prospect pipeline, win new business across the Kinaxia Group Portfolio
  • Attend Network events and exhibitions with consultant and prospects alike
  • Ascertain competitor information
  • Meet with client base to understand their business needs and also grow existing business e.g. transport clients win warehousing business or contract packing or value added services etc.
  • Meeting agendas are to be produced in advance of external meetings
  • Produce activity reports on a monthly basis
  • Prepare tender responses as and when required involving teams around the group as required
  • Actively find award entries to enable awards to be entered e.g. working in partnership with, innovative solutions, team of the year etc.

  • Relevant industry experience to enable prospecting new business minimum 5 years
  • Experience of managing clients and managing strategic relationships
